TAPCO WORLD HEADQUARTERS
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
The Traffic and Parking Control Company (TAPCO) a third generation family owned Milwaukee business. TAPCO enlisted the services of PKPD to serve as designer and owners’ representative. The team faced an enormous challenge renovating 130,000 square feet to serve the high tech, high security departments that would call the campus home.
The design solution brings all departments together in a collaborative and welcoming environment. The interior street concept gives autonomy to departments but are accessible and welcoming to the family of departments. Street names recognize departmental locations, common resources, conference rooms, etc. The space reflects a sophisticated approach to business and collaboration. There are several types of gathering or conferences spaces; a High Tech visitor’s center, a training room for large group meetings, traditional conference rooms, informal collaboration and meeting spaces for group gatherings, and contemplation areas designed to foster creativity. The space exudes a commitment to excellence and showcases TAPCOS work.
The renovation of 5100 West Brown Deer Road, preserves and brings new life to a great building and significant campus in The Village of Brown Deer. The employees and consultants that work in the building have already brought life back to the area. The campus will be a great platform for TAPCO’s next chapter of growth. The project has been recognized with accolades from the state and local governments and business communities.
